INVESTITURE CEREMONY

Leadership is the capacity to translate vision into reality.  The Investiture Ceremony of Good Shepherd CMI School for the academic session 2019-2020 was held with great pomp and dignity in a special ceremony at the school. The event was blessed with the presence of Rev.Fr.Dr.Joy Vattoly CMI, councillor for social work, Devamatha Province, Thrissur.

PTA GENERAL BODY MEETING 2019

Our General body meeting was held on 27 th July at Lotus Palace. The program was presided over by by our Manager Rev. Fr. Jose Chunkan CMI, Principal Rev. Fr.Jose Thanickal CMI , Administrator Mrs .Shanu Joffy. The newly elected PTWA Representatives were introduced. PTWA president Adv.Prabin Benny did the felicitation. An orientation talk was given by Mr.Rajeesh. It gave everyone useful information and ambitious goal for both students and parents .

Marking the Beginning…….

After the refreshing summer break, Good Shepherd CMI School, Kunnamkulam reopened with great enthusiasm on 6 th June 2019. The campus accorded a rousing reception to the budding learners, by bedecking the whole campus with appealing art and quotes and presenting a welcoming assembly.

Spiritual Hour

A spiritual hour Programme was conducted for the students from classes III to VIII in the church .It was conducted by our resource person Mr Nandhu .The class emphasised on inculcating moral values into the children.

Heal the World with a Green Touch.....Environment Day

As the world stands together to fight against environmental hazards, the Good Shepherd family joined hands to spread the message of protecting the environment on 6 th June 2019.

Reading Day

The Good Shepherd family celebrated Reading Day on 19 th June 2019 to remember Dr.P.N. Panicker’s contribution to the cause of literacy, education and library movement. The inauguration was graced by Dr.K.Shankaran Unni, a pure literary personality.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY THRISSUR

The Good Shepherd School has celebrates the 70 th birthday of the cultural capital of Kerala. The students stood in the shape of Thrissur district and the Principal Rev.Fr.Jose Thanickal CMI enlightened the students by providingmore information about Thrissur.

Quiz Prize for Areena Mariya Raju

Areena Mariya Raju of VIII won a prize for an online
quiz competition conducted by The Hindu paper.

Chandrayaan II at Good Shepherd

As a part of Independence Day celebration children drew pictures of chandrayaan II. The pictures were sent to Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi along with suggestions on how children can explore space history.

KUDAMATTAM TALENT FEST 2019

We conducted our KUDAMATTAM Talent Fest 2019 on 22 nd August 2019. Rev.Fr.JoseChunkan CMI Presided over the function..The chief guest of this event was our previous year best performer in Arts Kumari Meghna Kishore of class III .Our principal Rev.Fr.JoseThanikal CMI and PTWA vice president Teena Justin felicitated during the program.

Launching Nallapaadam

The students brought notebooks, pens and pencils to share them with the needy ones of St.Joseph’s and St.Cyril’s Higher Secondary School, West Mangad and RSSRV LP School,Kunnamkulam as their gift for the Re-opening day on 8 th June 2019 and 20 th June 2019 respectively.

Farming

The students visited a nearby farm and were given an awareness on the importance of organic farming .They were also explained about the ways of cultivation.

Books to Library

Realising the importance of reading in the all round development of a human being, the Good Shepherd family donated library books to Eklavya Public Library, Kunnamkulam in the presence of Councilor Mrs.Misha Sebastian.

International Day against Drug Abuse

It is the responsibility of each child to save everyone from the clutches of Drug abuse. Being responsible human beings by understanding the evil, the Good Shepherd family has taken an oath to get rid of Drug and Substance abuse.

Making Paper Bag and Paper Pen

The students made Paper bags and paper pens in the school to promote their use and to make an awareness of the hazards of using plastic bags and pens.

A journey into the heart of Kunnamkulam

Students along with teachers were taken into ‘valiyangady’ a busy spot in kunnamkulam.Students met many elderly people and had an informative talk about the history of the area. They conversed with the children and shared many untold stories of the place.

One child , one pen, one teacher and one book can change the world-KG opening &Vidhyarambham

Education is the journey from the dark to the light. Of course the root of education starts from the kindergarten level. Vidhyarambham unfolded the journey of education.

Fitness starts with vegetables-Vegetable Day

The dramatic creation of a vegetable market atmosphere was enacted by the tiny tots .

An honour to the official state fruit-Jackfruit Day

The KG environment glowed in yellow costumes and traditional crowns using jackfruit leaves.

The art of God.....Nature day

Nature day was the spectacular depiction of the beauty of nature with fanciful wild animals and birds.
