Good Shepherd CMI School is a Christian educational institution that started functioning in the year 2009 as a nursery school along with class 1, in Good Shepherd ITC hostel building campus, under St George Monastery, Kunnamkulam. The students were shifted to the new school building in 2014 and by 2019 the school reached up to class 9 with around 830 students in classes I to IX. The school is located at one kilometre away from Kunnamkulamtown, on the way to Wadakkanchery. The CMI congregation has upheld foremost the ideals of its heavenly patron St Kuriakose Elias Chavara (1805-1871) in establishing a wide network of educational institutions. The CMI Vision of Education is the formation of a human for the fulfillment of his/her individual and social responsibilities. It aims at forming leaders who will champion the cause of justice, love, truth and peace and who are ever open to further growth.
Good Shepherd CMI School is run by the Good Shepherd CMI Trust, formed by the members of the CMI Fathers of Devamatha Province, Thrissur. Our educational endeavours aim at forming leaders who are intellectually competent, spiritually mature, morally upright, psychologically integrated, physically healthy and socially acceptable; who will champion the cause of justice, love, truth and peace and who are ever open to further growth. The secret of the success of our educational institutions is a community of teachers who are committed to their vocation, professionally competent, morally upright, just and human in dealings, and who grow in the true vision of education. Good Shepherd CMI School was formed keeping the humble motto of creating a set of students who rely in true values for their development, which are found to be diminishing in today’s young generation. Our institution is open to all students irrespective of caste and creed; they are accepted and cherished as they are and are helped to grow in their cultural, social and religious traditions.
